    Cold Springs Whaling Musuem

    The Cold Springs Harbor Whaling Museum opened in 1942 as a way to educate people on the area's first industry: whaling. Inside the museum are more than 6,000 artifacts which tell the local history, including a 19th century, fully-equipped whale boat. Both permanent and changing exhibits are displayed here, making each trip a little different.
