Long Island's Gold Coast
Found on the north shores of Long Island, the Gold Coast is known for its historic roots in the late 1800s to 1920s, when wealthy families would build summer retreats. Made primarily of communities in Nassau and Suffolk counties, this wealthy area boasts a number of historic mansions which are open for tours, such as the Eagle's Nest, a Vanderbilt home turned museum.
