Built in 1697, Sagtikos Manor served as headquarters for the British army for a brief time during the Revolutionary War. President George Washington stayed here during his tour of Long Island in 1790.
Docents in period dress will guide visitors through the Manor House where they can view family owned furniture, artwork and accessories. Manor House showcases architectural styles from the 1600s to the 1900s. Out structures include the buttery, carriage house, walled garden and family cemetery.
